Introduction
I've been a User Interface Designer for five years, ever since graduating from DePaul University with a BS in Human Computer Interaction. For those five years I worked for SPSS Inc., a Software Development company in Chicago, IL. As a member of the design team I worked on three major releases of SPSS's flagship product: SPSS 10.0, SPSS 11.0, and SPSS 11.5. For the last two years I was known as the "Accessibility Goddess" by my fellow co-workers as I was tasked with ensuring SPSS applications were "Section 508 compliant". As a former Fine Arts major (at the University of Illinois at Chicago) I'm also a skilled graphic designer. Additionally, I have a working knowledge of database design principals.
I'm currently a student, again, at DePaul University in the HCI graduate program. I plan to specilize in designing usable applications for people with visual and mobility impairments.
