Adam Sandler was born in Brooklyn New York on September 9th 1966. His parents are Judy and Stanley who raised him as a Jew, which helped influence much of his early work for his stand up comedy. At 17 he realized he wanted to be a comedian when he took the stage at a comedy club in Boston. he went to New York University where he graduated with a bachelors degree in the Fine Arts in 1991. Dennis Miller found Adam performing one night in a comedy club and suggested he go on Saturday Night Live where his career really began to take off. He not only performed in the show but also wrote for SNL as well. After this he went on to make movies where he often writes and produces as well as writing some of the music in his more musical films. |
